Clear light material?

I once had a customer tell me that he used the plastic covers for flouresent lamps from home depot..It was for his 68 chevy pickup and looked pretty good..
Im not sure about newer cars as the lamps are more complex but i have made some black outs back in teh day for my sterling 875 from plexiglass and tint..Just trim mockups from poster paper and then cut and bent the plexi to fit..

I JUST DID THIS! i used the flourescent light covers like PhillyFabrication&Design said, and then i used a thin piece of clear plexi glass over it to make it strong. the light cover gives it a nice texture so its not totally see-thru. for the side markers i sprayed them inside with silver spray paint, they look GREAT! if you want pics or more info PM me
