you can take the plastic ring off and try to replace it with a clear one

but the big difference will come when you change the standard bulb behind it into an LED of your choice. ie Blue Green White Red Yellow Orange

You can't paint it, the plastic ring itself is orange. You'd have to find a clear one somewhere to replace it with.

I was able to reach mine by removing the console piece around the shifter, and when I did that, the ashtray/lighter piece just lifted out. The shift surround holds mine in place, my console trim piece is broken off above the ashtray piece, so you may or may not find it that easy.

I'm planning to replace my lighter with a large momentary pushbutton switch wired to a circuit to open my garage door.

wtf are you talking about?? you CAN paint it... just because its orange doesnt mean you cant paint it just a quick spray of flat black is all you need. the light bulb will still shine through.

you lost your Horn?..how?..all you do is put a ring connector behind one of the six Screws that hold the Momo wheel to the Hub.that is used as a Ground and "Ta-da"!..you get your Horn button a Ground..run the wire For the Horn, To the horn on the wheel,,the Other wireto that ringed Ground and you Are Stylin.

has anyone relocated the cig lighter? I'm thinking of relocating the hazard light button to the location of the cig lighter and the cig lighter to the place of the hazard light button. Makes more since to me for it to be in those positions. If not that I just want to get it close to the passenger side.

Sounds very cool... anyone ever done this? Is there a write up? If not, I hope you post yours... cuz I would love to do the same... I hate having a big bulky garage door openenr... it'd be very cool if I could operate the garage through the dash.
