I tossed this idea around for over a year now and finally took the dive an ordered one three months ago.. Bad part is that hood is back-ordered until June or so...

Once I get the hood in and get it fit I will post a writeup on it. I know there are several others on here wondering this exact same thing since that hood is so difficult to find and the authentic REA hood is crazy expensive.

I'm also thinking about it. I have the replica Knight Sports hood right now. I want something different so I am leaning towards the GT300 hood.

I decided to just say screw chaser if you do a google search there are guys with sigs with anti chaser graphics. They must have pretty crappy stuff from what i have seen. I am going to just go with a vis ks hood i have herd mostly good things about them, maybe a step down from seibon.

From what I have read about them, good call. Why take the chance when there are other vendors out there (with good reputation) that offer this style hood? Seibon and ViS FTW.

i have a chaser hood and body kit, fit is good and their customer service was good as well. I'd purchase from them again. I have their scoote hood and c-west kit for my fd.

So I just got off the phone with Chaser again. Joe, the gentleman I have been speaking with the last several months, let me know today that the most recent container had arrived last week BUT....NO HOODS. I guess the owner Russ hates money. I have been told since February that these hoods (along with sever others) would be on the upcoming container.

I was told they did not even know what all was on the container until it arrived. How does this happen? How do you not have a shipping list of a container's contents when it leaves port? Ridiculous and unprofessional. Good businesses do not run this way. Joe "thinks" he may be able to get a shipping list of what is on the next container set to arrive in September.

He even suggested that I try and find the hood elsewhere. Now, as glad as I am that he was honest, that does not speak well for confidence in the company you work for.

I am going to touch base with him at the end of this week and if he cannot offer anymore information I will be asking for a refund of the deposit I placed on the hood and either biting the bullet and ordering an authentic REA hood, or trying to find someone here willing to part with their replica or authentic piece.

Right now my recommendation is that if they have what you want in stock maybe give it a shot. If not, definitely go somewhere else. I will have to say customer service is good.

I have seen three of these.

They are like a tall sexy blonde with some really bad STDs.

They look really good in pics but are horrible quality. One hood separated layers, one fit like complete crap and the last one developed cracks and heat bubbles within a week.

FYI the nice customer support changes after you are an owner. It's all off road stuff.

I ended up buying a knight sports hood made by vis. I got it off ebay from a company called unified distributors, great company the hood was here with in a week and packed perfect. The carbon fiber was probly a 95 out of a 100. The fit was not perfect but pretty dang good. I am happy with it.

^^Good to know. I am kinda looking at a few seibon hoods, but I just don't like anything as much as I like the REA hood. $2k for the real deal is a lil steep for a hood though...
