CD player (NAK) skips while cornering!!

I have a NAK 45 CDz which I bought for the quality and mainly the simplicity (sans dolphins). It works great and handles bumps like a champ, rarely skipping.

However, it skips when I corner! Of course I'm cornering pretty hard most of the time, but it's quite annoying. I'm not sure if it only does it with CD-Rs, as a large number of my CDs are copies. I need to look into that, because I know the Nak specifically says it was not designed to play CD-Rs.

Anyone else have a similar problem, with their Nak or other head unit. I guess the lateral force is just pulling the laser mechanism along the disc...sucks.

Right on.

Thats too bad.

What do you think of the Nak besides this? I was considering the 45Z because of its simplistic looks and supposedly superb sound quality.

It's fine as hell. Same two reasons I bought...it has excellent sound quality with no BS that the "Best Buy" stereos have. It may just be the CD-Rs though. I'll do a test tomorrow and see. It doesn't do it all the time, mind you, just on hard cornering, but of course we doa lot of that.

Right on.
