carbon tail light cover

I got an extra set of carbon tail lights covers made and ready to install. Covers + install is 100, return shipping is included.

More pictures of my work at www.carbonfiberparts.net

Email me at mark@carbonfiberparts.net if you are interested. I would need your lights for 2-3 days.

I only have the one set made, but can make more. The covers are 50 bucks. They do require some trimming to fit properly. It can be done with a simple piece of sand paper.

Install instructions
-open lights
-trim covers to fit
-mask off lenes and paint black, vinyle circle to mask off lights are included
-glue cover to lens
-reassemble lights

And yes it's real carbon. Colored carbons can also be done if you want, but depending on the color it may cost more.

wow!

But I think I'm missing something here. Why do you need to mask off lenses and paint black? It's a cover that goes on top of the lenses right?

You don't have to, but on the sets I done, I did it to keep light from comming out the sides around the cover. I never tried it without painting so it may not be an issue. I just figured it can't hurt, and it's sure alot easier to do before you put the lights back together.

This means I ship my lights to you at my own cost then you will install the carbon covers and return them back to me for $100 total?

If you email me your address I can send you out a little sample of the black/yellow. I would probably have to install them for you because the yellow fiber is kevlar and it's not easy to trim.

Your correct total cost to you would be shipping to me + 100 dollars. I pay for return shipping.

Do you still do the interior cf panels? I thought I read somewhere that you stopped. I'd like to know because I need the rest of my interior finished too.

At the moment I am not doing interior overlays, they are to time consumming and I have alot of other projects going on.

For the rx7 I am still going overlays for the exterior door handles + exterior triangles

I am also still making the sill covers.

In the process of working with a customer to recrate the entire inside door panel in carbon. Also working on making a 99 spec replica in carbon.

Those look pretty damn high quality! How much are the sill covers, and how well do they stand up to the beating of a person's foot? Also, are then installed on top of the normal piece that goes there, or do they clip in themselves?

door sills are 135 a set + shipping for clear coated ones like in the picture. Non clear coated ones are 100 + shipping. They are still very reflextive but not has much as the clear coated ones.

Can't really say how they hold up, but I have sold several sets and no one has come back and said anything. They are farily strong and should be fine if its just your foot swinging by on the way in the car. If you really kick it or stand on it you would probably crack the resin.

Scrathes can be duffed back out, just like the paint on your car.

the are made to replace the stock metal covers, not go over them. They may fit over the stock metal covers, never tried it. If the stock plastic ones are the same has the metal they may fit over top of those also.

They come with well nuts similar to the stock metal sill fasteners. I drill the hole in the sils so they do NOT line up with the stock holes used to mount the metal sills, you will have to drill 2 new holes in the door jam. I did it this way becuase I didn't want to run it problems where the hole was close to the stock location but not close enought. If you want I can not drill the hole and you can try to drill them so they line up with your stock holes. If you have the plastic covers I don't believe you have holes in the door jam. So you will have to drill hole regardless.

I am a little behind on the sills, The mold had to be fixed so I have a couple of people already waiting.
