carbon sill covers
Hey guys just wanted to post some pictures of my carbon sill covers. This is the first set out of the mold. Still needs trimming a clear coating. Once I finish this set and make sure it fits I will be taking orders for more. www.carbonfiberparts.net price should be in the 125 + shipping range.

Since I don't have an rx7 anymore I am going to have to get with someone who does to figure out how to mount them. The best way would be to install 2 rivnuts in the car and then just use 2 small screws like the metal sil covers do. Only problem is most people probably don't have a rivnut intaller tool to instll the rivnuts. I'll figure something out and post the final pictures this weekend.

rivnut tools are alot different than a regular pop rivet tool. Still not hard to get but most people dont want to have to buy a tool just to install a part.

Mark, the thing to use are wellnuts. Basically a threaded metal section inside a rubber cushion that expands when you tighten it; uses plain screws. Cheap and available at any hardware store.
Those look great as does all your stuff. I still plan to splurge sometime on your interior parts, but I may have to start with some sills

Your parts are awesome!! Please keep it up, at least until I get the money to replace my console Thanks for making parts for the cars. I am surprised I haven't heard of your parts before this. Anyway, thanks.

Okay the first set is done and the fit great. Big thanks to Justin for letting me use his car. The finish on the first set wasn't very good but it proved the mold makes parts that fit. The first good set is already spoken for but after that it's first come first serve. It takes me about 1.5 -2 weeks to make a set. I can of course work on a few sets at a time. Price for a set is 135 + shipping. It includes the 2 sills and mounting hardware. They will mount the same way the stock metal ones do, with 2 well nuts. The sils will come pre drilled so all you have to do is drill the 2 holes in the car sil. If you are interested please go to my site carbonfiberparts.net and contact me through the site. It's the only way I can keep track of all the emails I get.
