carbon fiber trunk lid problem on fd

carbon fiber trunk lid problem on fd

hi every one.I instol carbon fiber trunk lid from seibon it fits perfect,lines match nice. but then i conect schoks for lifting and cloused the trunk it push the sides 1/4" up.If any off you had this problem? whats the soliution. can i use used schoks who no longer can't lift the metal trunk lid. or any other solutions.

The problem is that the shocks are designed to lift the weight of the OEM hatch. Try to remove one of them if that doesn't work then you might have to remove both of them and go to Auto Zone of something like that and find one that has less force.

same problem for me...i just took the shocks off since i never open my trunk...

maby enyone have for sale old schoks for trunk who no longer can't lift the metal trunk lid

At least your shocks connect to you hatch. I got one of the original hatches and the bolt and thread size didn't match with the stock hatch shocks. You could probably find some aftermarket ones that would work alright for your application.
