Exclamation Carbon Fiber R1/99spec front lip spoilers.

I'm currently setting up a group buy with VIS for carbon fiber or polyfiber R1 and 99spec front lip spoilers. Pricing isn't set in stone yet so I'm basically just gauging interest.

Anyone interested? Let me know so I can set this thing up!

i'm interested in case mine starts to disintegrate. How are they planning to make it and keep if as strong and flexible as possible with out crack or shattering (in the CF)?

^ That's what I'm going to discuss with them today. From the quality of the VIS CF wing, the carbon fiber seems to be very strong. Also, with the polyfiber ones, they're flexible and sturdy. Sorta like polyurethane.

Well, I sure hope they can. Let's see what VIS will tell me.

I also am working on carbon fiber door handles, a FEED type II replica wing, and carbon fiber 99spec "M" emblems and "mazda/rx-7" badges. I just want to see if there's enough interest for me to invest my time.

I'm interested in a cf 99-spec front lip, assuming the price is comparable to a regular 99 spec lip (~$160 - $200).

I believe Skunks had once told me that adding an extra strip of kevlar or something to the underside/center would give it a bit more durability...

btw, be sure to get permission so we don't all get banned

r0t0r-rooter- I'm finishing up a 99spec GB so I know to get permission from Jason. Also, this is just in the developement stages.

Seems there's a lot of interest. Pricing will definitely be comparable to authentic 99spec and R1 lips. I'll keep you guys updated.

I'm down for the Feed wing if it's cheaper than Rotary Extreme's replica.

I know nothing about carbon fiber freediving fins, but "apneablue" linked this product in a recent thread, and as you can see, they do flex quite a bit. Don't know what other materials are used in their construction, but it might be worthwhile to look into.

I would be interested in the 99 spec lower lip in carbon fiber, and the center piece for 99 spec wing. Keep us updated.

FYI, for a GB to get off the ground I need at least 15 people for each item. The door handles are still up in the air as is the FEED Type II wing but the door sills and R1/99spec front lips are almost good to go. As for pricing, I can pretty much guarantee that the lips will either be either around the same cost of an OEM or lower. I can say with confidence that they will definitely NOT be higher than the cost of an OEM.

As for the 99spec wings, I'm still working on finishing the first GB. I'll let you guys know when I can start taking new orders.

Post if you're interested.

Alrighty, I'm also going to start planning a replica FEED headlight cover in carbon fiber or fiberglass/polyfiber GB. These will be WELL below retail. Let me know if there's any interest in these so I can set one of these up too.

Pic for reference:
