Carbon fiber issues

Does this seem like something that can fixed easily? It almost seems like it is under the clear coat portion, but above the carbon fiber.

It might be the clear coat got separated from its base giving the illusion that something is damaged underneath (same thing I was thinking of). I had similar issues with my panels (same evo-r panels I guess) on the edges of ~1 inch length. I used krazy glue on top of the clear and the damage dissipated almost like a magic. Although the damage on yours looks much worse (on a larger area) than it was on mine.

What do you mean you used crazy glue? That sounds weird and interesting... I did drop the panel off at a body shop and they are looking at it at the moment so hopefully they can fix it.

it's called "krazy glue". From what I understand it's a very thin liquid glue that can penetrate through scratches and glue the underneath stuff

You have more info on this? The body shops didn't want to deal with it.

This is the one I used:
Amazon.com: Krazy Glue KG82448R Instant Crazy Glue All Purpose Pen 0.106-Ounce: Home Improvement Amazon.com: Krazy Glue KG82448R Instant Crazy Glue All Purpose Pen 0.106-Ounce: Home Improvement

Note that there should be scratch lines on the clear coat so that the glue can penetrate beneath the coat. You should apply it lightly over the scratches and you should see the effect immediately. If not than probably this is the wrong cure for you damage. Also if not applied lightly too much glue may accumulate inside the scratches and it'd be noticeable, so be careful.

Evos have a similar issue with the carbon fiber wing. Here is a thread I used when I went to repair mine, it basically looked like this

Being that it is an interior panel, there is most likely no clear coat on it unless you know otherwise. If there it is in fact a defect in the resin it would need to be sanded and resin re-applied. Not very cost effective to repair it unless you know someone.
