One other question, how much difference would it make if i didn't care to much for the carbon fiber look anyway and plan on just painting over it? I mean would it be easier to lay since you wouldn't have to match up cloth sheets?

I'd just get fiber glass if you're going to do that. It's cheaper and relatively as strong as carbon fiber.

(Oh and I'm using tin snips, a C-clamp, and a ping pong table as my tools of choice)

This is interesting.. too bad I can't join in.. i relocated my A/C controls so it's different... can you list the process of using CF w/ pictures.. I'm very interested in learning how to do this.. and maybe I can do mine.. I also redid the radio panel w/ gauges and other electronics.. so that'll be custom too..
or are there any sites with good and detailed info on using CF?
