Can't get a decent price for paint job
I know painting a car involves lots of labor to do a good job, but every quote I'm getting is $5000 minimum for a change of color. It doesn't matter that I will have an unpainted hood, front end and wing. They won't even go down if the car is sanded down to bare metal already. I'd rather sell my car and get a different colored FD.
It's never fast enough...

To do it right involves in having to remove EVERYTHING. The trimmings, the moldings, the fenders, the engine, etc.
Of course, this is only if you want it done RIGHT. I'm sure there are PLENTY of shops willing to do it for you for a lot cheaper.
Exactly HOW much DO you want to spend?

drive to memphis and i'll hook you up with my friend. $3,500 for color change and minimal body work. you won't find a slicker job.....that boy can shoot.
Keep looking there's some shops that will do a great job for 2k and as you know it only goes up from there. I have plans on painting my 93 R1 so I've been looking around myself. I'll get back to you later I'll have to find the cards to the shops I found.
