Can't get a decent price for paint job
I know painting a car involves lots of labor to do a good job, but every quote I'm getting is $5000 minimum for a change of color. It doesn't matter that I will have an unpainted hood, front end and wing. They won't even go down if the car is sanded down to bare metal already. I'd rather sell my car and get a different colored FD.

that would be a lot easier actually. changing colors is a ton of work. to do it right the entire whole complete car has to come apart.

To do it right involves in having to remove EVERYTHING. The trimmings, the moldings, the fenders, the engine, etc.
Of course, this is only if you want it done RIGHT. I'm sure there are PLENTY of shops willing to do it for you for a lot cheaper.
Exactly HOW much DO you want to spend?

Paint
Keep looking there's some shops that will do a great job for 2k and as you know it only goes up from there. I have plans on painting my 93 R1 so I've been looking around myself. I'll get back to you later I'll have to find the cards to the shops I found.

It depends what kind of paint you want and what needs to be done to the car. I see you live in LA, if you like the work on my car, PM about what you want done to your car and I may be able to help....
