can ypu powder coat the uim?

all those parts that are getting polished, by forum members in the 3rd gen section, can those parts be powdercoated different colors? will this help with heat?

I don't see why not. Another option would be to anondize.

You don't powdercoat to help disapate heat.

To help control temperatures, you should look into performance coatings.

they can be powder coated no problem. the down side to it though, and the same with chrome or anodizing, is any surface imperfections (rouhg casting scratches etc) will show uo when you coat it with something. powder will hide it alot better but to anodize or chrome you need to polish first

do you have to polish them to remove the impperfections? (same as sanding?)

Powder coated in almost chrome. Did it myself with a kit I bought from eastwood.
