Question can you fix a tear in the dash "vinyl" ?

To the left of the glove box, where ppl usually have those PFC commander holders (like the Gotham racing one), I got a small (prob 1/2 an inch) tear in the "vinyl" or whatever material it is.

If you look in this pic, it's in the area that's right underneath the metal area of the holder that's going back toward the glove box.

The prob is, that area is continuous w/ the dash itself, so it's not like it's a small area you can re-cover or something like that.

Anyone got any ideas on how I can fix the little slit I have? I remember seeing on TV this "magic" product used to fix holes and cuts in the dash, leather seats, etc...but don't know if it really works. Any ideas/help would be great.

Thanks

That was my first idea...but a) I wanted to see if it was possible, and b) would you happen to know approximatley how much it might cost? Because I've seen a very strong pattern emerge...ppl see an FD, prices get jacked up. Ppl see an FD w/ a body kit, prices soar. You get my drift?

get that magic liquid leather stuff its like a liquid( of course) that you put in a little needle like thing and apply it directly where it needs to be, i dont think it can touch the other vinyl though you have to apply it only in the slit area.

hmmm...has anyone ever used this stuff on anything at all?? Curious if it really works...and if so, how well, will it hold up, etc?
