My wife and I are thinking of buying a gen 2 RX7. She is 4' 11." Do you think that she will be able to drive the car safely. Do the seats move up/down? Does the steering wheel tilt to dash level?

We havent driven one yet...plus she is out of town for a few weeks.

We tried the S2000, but it sits too low for her.

Understand? :-)

The FC might be able to work. It's pretty damn small inside. The seats only move back and forth, but the steering wheel does tilt.

FYI, it's an FC3S, not FC2. Just FC will do! My sister is like 5'3" and is able to fit in a driving position for it.

Not all FC's have steering wheel tilt... My TII has it but not my vert.

The FC seating position is like an S2K....except it feels less cramped.

I think you only run into trouble if you're OVER 4'11

Try it and see!

The car was basically designed with Japanese people in mind, so...yes.

In fact, she'd probably have better luck than a lot of us (unless you had a bucket seat...lol).

Don't GXL's have height adjustable seats? My 85 GSLSE did. In any case my wife is 4'11'' and she has no problem driving my car it is an S5 GTU with the non tilt wheel and cheap recline only seats. I don't think she could (or would want to) drive it if it didn't have power steering though.

I'm 5'3" and the FC fits me just fine.

I would imagine someone that is 4'11" would have to have their toes extended to push the clutch all the way to the floor instead of flat-footing it. Maybe not.

I think she will fit just fine.

I don't think she'll be able to see over the wheel/dash comfortably in an FC, the seating position is pretty low in the FC too.

Try a Miata perhaps?

Miata has about the same position.

I'm an FC and Miata owner.
