A/C contols
i would like to redo my center console, and HVAC. i need to know if there is any way to connect the wiring harness to a computer, so i can run the controls on a touch screen. ive seen the relocation to the arm rest area, which is still a possibility but i want some thing really different.
any help would be great

pc to Arduino to relays to ac controls. you gotta program what you want it to do. kinna bust *** but if you pull it off itll look pretty coool.
all it is is a computer programmable relay.

im not hugely familiar with the heating/ac controls i know old school vehicles used an actual mechanical connection to the different aspects of the controls. i assume that that the rx7 controls are electrical. can any one clarify?
also i need a wiring diagram for any wires for the controls

it feels electrical. ive never tore it apart. but i never noticed it otherwise. if i tare it apart to tell you, ill do what your wanting to do. i dont see the worth, if a/c works for me.
if you cant figure it out... pay someone to do it. your just gonna burn everything. i was thinking how to do it correctly and it is a bitch to do.
i work at a shop and i would charge close to 6k to do it from scratch, labor including parts to make it to my standards just for a/c.
you could control every electrical component with this method from to starting your car to sleepy eyes...
to control it off one screen sucks for the user. even if its just a/c.
just think the computer has to load every time you start your car!
i wanted to do this for my stereo but just the load time and practical use killed it for me.
