BOSE Headunit problems
My Bose CD unit in my 94 series 6 RX7 has been nothing but trouble (As most RX7 owners have experienced).
Problem is it will not skip tracks, if I choose track 4 for example it will go back to 1 most of the time or sometimes it will spit back out, sometimes it won,t even recognise CD and spit it out straight away. Ive tried lens cleaner, sometimes have slight improvement then back to normal after 5min playtime.
I have noticed the problem is worse with burned CDs.
Can anyone help.
Also I heard u cannot change factory deck with aftermarket and keep Bose Wave acoustice tube, speakers amps etc.. Because the resistance of speakers
is about 1 ohm is this true.

I'm yet to try out different CD's on my new RX7 as I only bought it in Feb, so I can't comment on the behaviour.
But as far as replacing the HU with the stock BOSE pieces, I believe you are right in that the resistence doesn't get matched. So if you're gonna replace the HU, you might as well get some aftermarket speakers and a sub in the rear..
