Your right.
I am new here.
I just got my rx-7.

Its a 94' and i love it.
I want to modify it quickly because i am leaving soon for the military and it will be my girls car till i get back. And i'll be home every once in a while and i want it to be done already.

I first saw an rx-7 in Fast and the Furious but it took me a few months to figure out what the hell it was. I was thinking of some car that was way off from Mazda.

Thanks though.
And i looked at mazdastore.com and i dont know why i didnt see the kit.

Please tell me you actaully learned about the car you bought before you go out and blow your motor..... There are alot of other things you need to look into before you start modding the FD. Oh, BTW..... modifiying it quickly and getting it done does not work .

please, before you even take that car out one more time... spend atleast 10 hours on this forum and READ! if you bought the car because of that Fast and Furious cheese movie, then im just going to shoot myself. thats pathetic IMHO, and im sure you dont know how to take care of your car like you should. your motor will probably go soon, and youll end up killing a perfectly innocent FD... so sad to see them go out like this...

p.s... did you get the 4cyl or the 6cyl engine? its got turbos right? FWD is awesome isnt it, now you can hang with those DSMs! awesome dood...

(for everyone else on the board, please note my sarcasm)

Yeah he's always liked the car.

He just just had no clue what it was when he saw it in the movie.

If you seriously know how to take care of the car then tell me the first mods you're going to do.

First of all i'm going to put a boost guage.
Then i'm puting an intake and an exhaust.

I'm not really going to work on the performance aspect of the car but rather the look.

did you just dig a hole for yourself or what!?

close, but not quite... read this:

Post Purchase Maintenance & Modification

After buying a car you may want to:

- Check the belts and hoses and replace any that are questionable
- Change the oil, oil filter, and air filter
- Change the fuel filter
- Add new spark plug wires and spark plugs (NGK only, please!)

And while you own the car:

- Allow adequate warm up time before using heavy throttle
- Use only premium (93+ octane) fuel!
- Allow a minute or two cool down time, after hard runs or hot weather, before shutting the engine off (this is important as it allows the turbos time to cool a bit). Note that it is very bad to run the car hard, swoop into a parking spot, and immediately turn the engine off.
- Change the oil every 3,000 miles (synthetic is NOT recommended)
- Flush the cooling system once a year
- Replace the spark plugs every 15,000 miles (Mazda's recommendation on this is too high).

Some good reliability modifications include:

- Add a permanent boost gauge
- Replace the vacuum hoses
- Replace the pre-cat with a downpipe
- Replace the cooling system Air Separation Tank (AST) with an aftermarket one or eliminate it
- Consider installing a water temp gauge
- Add an air/fuel gauge if you have exhaust or intake modifications

(all info from http://rx7.voodoobox.net/infofaq/bgu...e3g.html#Links... GO THERE AND READ!)

I've got first dibs on his car once he blows the engine. I'll give you $8000 once you decide to sell it with the blown engine. My e-mail is MidnightHour12@hotmail.com and my AIM screen name is FalseEssence. Give me a line when you blow your engine.

I don't know about other people, but I call that RICE.

And why would you ever let your girl drive it while you're away? That's just asking to have it wrapped around a tree.

Wrong retard. The first thing you need to do is put on a sticker of a flying guy with one arm streched out on the side of the car. Then you get a shitload of nos and and put it under the passenger seat. Be careful though, don't use it too early in a race, you'll need it for the last five minutes of the drag race. Most importantly if the Chinese mafia come around w/ guns, RUN AWAY FROM THE CAR.

Listen,
Sorry about that **** a few days ago where i was pissed. Its just that i came to the forums for help. And all I got was made fun of. Of course i'm gonna end up messing the car up because nobody will help me.

Most of the people in the forums are just people who wish they had an FD so why dont you make fun of them and help me out so i dont **** mine up.
