Anyone have any pictures of a car painted black with faint gold specks in them. Ive seen what they do for red and i love the deep, rich (no pun intended) color it has.

 

The next time you see a 96-98 Black Taurus or Zx2 Escort...check it out. They came with a factory option to have black w/gold fleck.
I know, I bought a brand new one in 95 to match the gold Daytons I had planned for it.

Look at the new STI's the black ones have gold fleck in them as well

 

not only did the STis come w/ it i think all the black 04 WRXs came w/ the gold flecks.

Black with silver specks would look good too, didn't think about that.

So what other good black colors are there?

 

my Gen1 is painted in 2-pack black with gold pearl
it looks a nice black straight on, but when you look at an angle (and its been washed recently) you can see the gold sparkle. It looks really good, but with my car it was a bit feint.. so make sure you do a spray out of the colour on some scrap to make sure the effect is as strong as you want.

silver effect with black will make it a dark gunmetal colour on an angle... i personally dont like it but you get that.

Other good colours are
White with a strong blue pearl, white on the face but on an angle it will go a strong blue

Marone with violet pearl.. same as above but will have more of a purple effect (it looks cool, not a gay kinda purple)

sky blue with gold pearl
etc etc the list goes on

then you add different metallics to it and woah your in a wonderful world of pretty colours

the 2003 spec subaru legacy( dunno what they'r called where u'r @) has a nice gold fleck in the black paint. my dad's got one and in the sun it glows gold. nice!

 

i think an FD painted STi black with volk gt-u's or gram light 57 pro's in gold is the hottest thing around

 

so red with gold flake would look deep?

thats what i want for my fc.
