black FD w/ black wheels
i decided to go with the Hyperblack 5zigen FN01RCs in 18s all the way around. I had to special order the 43mm offset in 18x8.5 which is why I think a couple of guys went with 17s on the front. It will take a 1-2 months before they get here from japan. I will post pics as soon as i get them on the car......in june
eventually i wanna polish the lip to give it some contrast, but that may be in the distant future.

Gonna make you have a bad day here but the FN01RC's in Hyper Black aren't really "hyper black" at all, more of a dark silver. I've actually heard this on a wheel website and also there is a member who just bought the "hyper black" and was unpleasently suprised. You can always have the powdercoated though..
whats the diff? i did a search on hyperblack and they all look the same as the 5zigen ones. they all look like a shiny gunmetal. splain it to me, please.

ahhhhh, got you. thanks for the heads up. i was thinking that you were telling me that the 5zigen was some kind of cheap hyperblack imitation and that it wouldnt look like other hyperblack wheels. now that is a relief.
I had black wheels on mine for a while:
But switched to more of a gunmetal (I think Kinesis has another name for it...) I think the black wheels ended up being too monochromatic, and the gold bolts hodling the rm halves to the center section ended up making the tire look like it had a very high sidewall, when they were 40 series.
Here are some pics of the new wheels:
Cheers,
Steve
