Best place to order '99-spec body parts?

Hi all,

I'm looking at purchasing an authentic OEM '99 front bumper and rear wing for my FD.

Where would be a good place to buy them? I looked on RX7store.net, but their rear wings come pre-painted. I want to buy the parts completely unpainted so I can have them primed and paintmatched when my car is in the shop.

Also, one last question. I'm going to need a set of '99 turn lamps as well. I'd really like to buy these as authentic OEM as well (no replicas), but I've read about issues with the wiring harness not matching up to the US FDs. Is my only option to get replica lenses with the matched harness, or does anyone know of a solution?

Thanks!

corksport is a good place to buy, cheaper than rx7store sometimes

you can buy the harness adaptor if you dont' wanna hassle with wiring. i think it goes for $50?

It looks like they're more expensive than RX7store and it says their wings are painted. Any other ideas?

Any idea where to get the turn signal harness?

Also, does anyone have any experiences with the Rotary Extreme '99 replica turn lamps?

I can get you genuine OEM parts direct from mazda japan. I won't do the front bumpers though - as they are a pain in the butt to deal with (I don't need things that bulky in my japanese-size apartment...).

The rear spoilers aren't cheap. I'm at work, so I don't have my price sheet on me - but they are around 80,000yen (part price only. check with xe.com for currency conversions). The rear spoilers come painted from the factory.

Front lights are 27,000yen (or thereabouts) *each* (which makes the taiwanese versions an attractive alternative). There are two options for fitment - first is to get a good auto electrician, the second is buying the conversion kit (I buy them from fujita engineering - about 2000yen + shipping and transfer).

The cheapest place is going to be Mazda Motorsports. You have to have race results to buy from them though. Just go to a couple of auto-x's and send them in and you can get the best prices on any stock part including the 99 spec stuff.

example 393 for a front bumper right now

All exterior genuine OEM accessories (which the spoiler is, as are mudflaps, sideskirts, etc) all come prepainted.

Thanks for the plug bigman Without pointing fingers, sometimes my prices on new parts aren't the cheapest b/c some vendors buy the parts from Mazda Motorsports then sell it to the general public, which IMO is bad business. Mazda Motorsports is for race purposes, not for profit.

Wompa164, if you're interested, I can also get you the genuine OEM bumper and rear wing used if you'd like, which will save ya some money since you're gonna prep and paint 'em anyway.

As for the '99 turn lamps, yea the genuine OEM ones don't plug in to the US harness. You'd either have to splice the wires, or buy the optional Knightsports harness, which allows them to then be plug-in. Let me know if I can be of any help

You could get them locally from Rotary Performance/rx7.com in Garland.

Being that they're used, there's no one solid price. It fluctuates, so it's on a case-on-case basis. Feel free to PM me and I'll let ya know what's available.

Andy, as we talked about, ask Chuck if he has any in stock. If he does, I'd get 'em from him if I were you. If not, then lemme know and I can get 'em from KS for ya

Ramy, I'd also like the knightsports connectors for plug n play installation as soon as you find me the 99 spec bumper.

Gene, I got you, no prob

eastondle, w/o pointing fingers, I find it simply and plainly WRONG for someone to buy parts from Mazda Motorsports and sell them for profit. That is a non-profit outlet for Mazda racers, not vendors to make a profit off of.

A3ON7, thanks for the kind words. I'm bringing in a few 99spec bumpers as we speak... I do tons of new parts as well, but I can't and won't even try to compete w/ Mazda Motorsports prices when I buy retail (as it should be). And I also perfer not to do imitation/replica parts either.

Yea it's cool. Most ppl don't, and I'm not one to badmouth others (or at least I try not to), but sometimes "improper" business conduct gets to me, esp. given that I'm in the process of registering as a vendor myself...

is good to see so many people on this forum trying to stand up to become as vendor to assist other rotorites to get their parts at a cheaper price.

Can anyone offer me some more places to look?

- Mazda Motosports is backordered
- RX7store is backordered
- RX7.com is backordered
- Corksport is backordered

Where else is there that sells authentic Mazda OEM?
