If your in The Woodlands - Houston, come out to the next Houston Mazda Rotary Club meet (or whatever we're called now hehe), August 10th http://www.houstonrx7club.com/forum/...=&threadid=498 . I've got a brand new set that I was keeping as a backup, that I'll likely be putting up. PM if interested.

Can someone post photos of black 93-95 FD's with a 99' chin spoiler? Also, how is installation? Does the spoiler offer the same benefits as it would on the 99+ car?

It doesn't line up "exactly" on the 93-95 bumper. You'll need to drill a few holes but that's about it.

Here's a closer picture of one installed (my car a year or so ago):

Mainly for the same reason you stated above. I was curious as to how specific the lip had to be mounted in order to be effective. With the 99 spec bumper, I'm pretty sure it fits pretty well, but with ours I wasn't sure if the angle and such would be accurate enough in order to maximize the benefits of using the spoiler.

Hey mahjik...did you drill through the lip or through the car?

Hope that isn't THAT dumb of a question.

Yes. If you want a tight fit, you'll need to drill a few extra holes.

Huh? I was asking whether you drill the holes through the actual lip, or do you drill through the front bumper of the car. Maybe I wasnt quite clear enough sorry.

The front lip will not line up perfectly around the corners of the bumpers.. the lip will stick out a bit - this is because the contours of the 93-98 bumpers is different than the 99+ jdm ones.

Not all the holes line up but its easy to drill a few holes in the lip or the bumper

Its a 30 minute job

Through the bumper. It will be more clear once you try to mount it.

Am I the only one that thinks that the 93-95 (98) lip looks better than a 99 lip on a 93-95 (98) bumper?

yeah yeah I know the 99 is actually functional...blah, blah, blah

I like it a lot better than thhe 93-95 lip. It give the car a more aggressive look without all the extra "crap" aftermarket front bumpers add.
