best place for a 10" sub in an FC

I am thinking about putting a ten" sub in the back passenger corner behind the strut tower, anybody have any experience with this, or how they went about doing it? I also have an oversized amp and would like some ideas on where to place the amp. I am thinking about stripping out one of the storage bins and using it to hold the amp.

Best place is the spare tire area. The hatch horn loads the speaker.

The bins in a FC are generally less than optimal as listed in a dozen threads on this can be found if search was used. If the bin area is used a lot of speaker is required to get marginal bass.

I agree, from what Ive read...the bins are not a good place for subs. I built a regular rectangular box for one 10" and used a bungee cord to tie it down in the back center of the hatch with the sub faceing up into the glass. I put my amps behind the seats. The sub sounds good there, but in a hatchback, almost anything should sound good.

I put a 10" free air sub in the spare tire (with spare tire still there). I have been VERY happy with the results.
