best place for a 10" sub in an FC

best place for a 10" sub in an FC

I am thinking about putting a ten" sub in the back passenger corner behind the strut tower, anybody have any experience with this, or how they went about doing it? I also have an oversized amp and would like some ideas on where to place the amp. I am thinking about stripping out one of the storage bins and using it to hold the amp.

I put my sub in one of the rear compartment areas.

Best place is the spare tire area. The hatch horn loads the speaker.

The bins in a FC are generally less than optimal as listed in a dozen threads on this can be found if search was used. If the bin area is used a lot of speaker is required to get marginal bass.

I agree, from what Ive read...the bins are not a good place for subs. I built a regular rectangular box for one 10" and used a bungee cord to tie it down in the back center of the hatch with the sub faceing up into the glass. I put my amps behind the seats. The sub sounds good there, but in a hatchback, almost anything should sound good.

I put a 10" free air sub in the spare tire (with spare tire still there). I have been VERY happy with the results.

i have my sub where the spare used to be. it works great. and my amp is in the bin. i've had no probs at all!

anybody here sever use a sub in that back corner, behind the strut tower, passenger side?
