I am very visually oriented and I don't think I discern subtle differences in sound well.

I know my Bose wave system is working because I feel it vibrating in sympathy with the sound coming out of the radio. I just don't think I actually hear it.

Has anyone removed a correctly opperating wave system and had it make a large difference?

Is there a way to easily unplug the wave speaker (without breaking connectors and such) and see for myself? I never have seen the speaker itself.
