Anyonne added door speakers to a FC that didn't come with them???
The 88+ locations on a FC is actually a pretty good location.
What I did on my old 87 Sport was silicon glue (as a gasket between the metals) and pop rivet an aluminum panel where the speaker is on in the front of the the 89+ doors, cut it out, and mounted a 6 inch there.
I routed the wires through the door harness plug. In hindsight I should have just pulled the door off, when routing the wires through that stock plug; it would have been much easier. The stock door speaker wires were there for the speaker above the arm rest (as found on the 86-88 cars), but I was building a competition system and wanted upgraded wire.

I made boxes for the front of my door. Mounted the tweets up above the vents and the mids down below. Sounds good if you ask me
Carpeted it in black since my blue interior is a little on the faded side.
