Anyone use Lynx 2000R car alarm

Are they any good? $200 sounds like a deal.

I think I can also plug in a microphone that detects glass being broken and motion detectors.

LYNX 2000-R
(The Most Advanced 2-Way Remote Control Vehicle
Security System with Remote Starter)
NOW with FREE Leather Case and belt clip included for the remote!!!

A $15.00 value included with every alarm system..and FREE S/H!!!.

Lynx-2000R invites you to experience the most innovative revolution in vehicle security, safety and lifestyle enhancing convenience by allowing you to interact with your vehicle.

Lynx-2000R literally provides 24 hour surveillance for your vehicle by giving you instant visual & audio warning through your intelligent Remote Control in the event of illegal provocation or tampering to your vehicle. When an intrusion is attempted on your vehicle by opening a door or applying impact, your Remote Control quickly illuminates its wide LCD screen automatically, flashed graphic icon indicating the triggered point, emits a continuous loud warning beep sound while the vehicle gives off a blast of alarm sound and flashes its turn signal lights. The numerous convenience functions on the Lynx-2000R are easily programmable through a user friendly interface in the Remote Control.

With Lynx-2000R you can also safely start the engine, pre-heat or pre-cool your vehicle remotely even from inside your home or at your programmed time for your comfortable drive in simmering summer days or frigid winter mornings.

Different from other similar bi-directional alarm systems, Lynx-2000R is designed so that the Remote Control actually does more than 'Two-Way' communication with the System Module in the vehicle. They make prior exchange of information on the system's current status before the actual command signal transmission to minimize any operational error and provide optimal protection against any potential code grabbers.

Hello everyone!

I have the Lynx 2000 alarm and I love it. I live in a terrible neighborhood and too many things have happened to my beloved FD. I haven’t tested the range, which uses an FM Frequency, but as long as your vehicle isn’t blocked by anything, 2 miles maybe it’s ranged. This is the all in one alarm with autostart, turbotimer, alarm paging etc. The only complaint is that from time to time, it does give out false alarm. I sleep a little easier at night.

FWIW, there are *many* similar pager alarms on the market right now for under/around $200. They're all about the same in features and design.

This one has a cool pic of a Red FD on the transmitter... probably why more than a few people on here have it. I woulda got this one too, had I seen it before I installed the one I have now, since I have a Red FD and all.

Do you reckon these would work in the UK, not exactly sure how the pager system works, via a satellite of some description i should imagine, but wondering if that would be available to people in the UK, cant beat a paging car alarm with a pic of an FD on it

No satellite interface necessary. It's just like a regular car alarm, except that the car can talk back to the remote.

And having a pic of my car on my alarm is VERY cool.
