Anyone get their Mazdaspeed replica hoods yet?
Just curious if anyone received theirs yet...I was hoping it would arrive today, but NADA...sometimes it sucks being the last vestige of civilization, at the very bottom of Florida, the last point before you fall of into the ocean:-) With MADS just around the corner, I'm starting to get worried it won't arrive in time.

I got my hood the past week, and installed it today. I will try and post some pics if i can push the car out of the garage. Mine was one of the carbon fiber versions.
overall I am pretty happy with it. it fits pretty good and it lines up nice. I did have to make a few minor modifications, to get one of the bolt holes to line up. Mine did not have the hood support like it was suppose to? i just cut out the outline on the hood where it should have been and made a small alum. piece and rivited it on. Not are real big deal.
over all it looks nice and the quality seems good. I guess i will see how it holds up once my car is back on the road again.

HOODS???
Guys as far as I know, they are somewhere between Oklahoma and wherever you are at. I am sorry but it isn't UPS or Fed/Ex. I swear as far as I know they are on their way. I think it should arrive sometime this week to you. Ground freight usually take about a week +/- a day or two, because it is all driving. James it didn't come with the hood rod support bracket??? I can't believe that!!! I will have to tell the distributor that he needs to call and have them take their time and don't get sloppy.

Got mine today thanks Long. Mine didn't have the hood rod support or the holes precut for the washer nozzles, but I can't remember if the washer nozzles were going to be precut anyway. No big deal. I was going to have mine cleaned up and painted at my friend's body shop so anything like that will be done right anyway. Cool looking hood though, can't wait to get it on.

I'll tell you what...the hardest thing isn't coming up with the money nor shelling it out, but waiting for the part to arrive! :-) Mine is supposed to arrive on Thursday, the day I'm leaving for MADS unfortunately. I'll have to wait another five days to get it on the car. The agony!

It's better than I thought it would be!! It came w/ the hood prop support and the vents cut out already.. just need to do some minor fabrication, cut the holes for the sprayers and paint...
Thanks guys..
BTW.. I didn't get the sprayers.. I paid for a black pair.. Is that coming separate??

Jay,
Couldn't view the video...apparently it's corrupted somewhere. You may want to try uploading it to the server again. Tried on a wintel and a mac platform.

Jason,
I packed up everything before I got the information that you wanted the washer nozzles. We will get some out to you. Huy is in Houston and I am in Oklahoma City, so sometime our information doesn't coincide. If anyone got an extra set of windshield washer nozzles, that they did not order, then could you please send it back or pay for it. I had very limited time when processing the shipments and I think I might have mispacked some nozzles, cause someone else didn't get their nozzles, when I thought I included it. So many things to do and so little time to do them. Jason I know I didn't pack any nozzles in yours so we will get some out to you. Sorry for the confusion.

Got my hood and it looks great! The shipping company would have gotten it to me Friday but they had trouble delivering it to the address I gave them so I got it yesterday.
Thanks Long & Huy.

ok.. forget that video.. lol.. it sucked...but anyway..here are some pics.. the only problem is the fitment by the drivers side.. it's off by a bit and sticks up a little too much.. hopefully I can get it aligned good enough.. I also think that the hood needs a little reinforcement on the inside.. other than that.. it's great!!

I didn't mean for you to feel like you got screwed, but I needed a time limit and response for the shipment since there were more people wanting hoods than hoods. After all is set and done on this round of hoods, we might be able to get another round going, but finding the time to do it is going to be hard. School is in and my little Nissan crapped out recently. It is also a lot of work for us to do this and trying to keep everyone happy. I will post on the forum if there are to be anymore. I think that there is a good chance. If you want I will personally email you and let you know. Hate for anyone to think that I screwed them over.

Long Nguyen...no hard feelings. It just sucks not getting something that I thought I was going to get. I guess I just have to stop by Jay's (JaySpec7) house and take it off his FD.
