I've finshed installing my Kenwood CD player, rewiring 4 new speakers, 2 amps, and 2 x 12" subs. The only thing left to do is secure the amps in place. Right now they're just resting behind both the driver's and passenger seats.
My questions are...
Can the amps be mounted against the carpeted wall directly behind the seats?
Is there anything on the other side of that wall that might be badly damaged by screws being drilled into it?
Has anyone done this before?...pointers?

btw... the car's an '86 GXL.

p.s. The wiring was a bitch. Why?... #1- because of the stupid factory amps that all 4 factory speakers had on them.... #2- Not exactly the easiest car to move carpet around in.

 

Shouldn't be a problem at all. Thats where my CD changed and amp are both mounted. If you take out the storage bins then its just TONS of empty space.
