aluminum scuff mark plates

how do i get the deep scraches outta my alum. 3rd gen scuff plates? these things are like $85 to replace is there a cheaper way to polish these babies and get the markes out?

Yes I have been wanting to get rid of the marks I have. Basically you will polish it to hell BlkFD has done it and they look hot when done right

and FD3BOOST has done it mildly but you have to keep up with them") but I am doing all my interior work this winter

Yes I removed the clearcoat and polished mine. They scuff back up in about 3 weeks. I suggest leaving them alone. Or replace them with new ones.

I stripped the clearcoat with some scouring pads (fine sandpaper okay too). Hand polished it with some metal polish. It shines like SS should be. Anytime you have more scratches, just polish it again.
