I need some minds before I start in on this project. I have a 10 disc CD changer in my trunk I hate with a passion it skips and reception due to the station it comes in on I get bleed thru on the radio.

So I bought a Alpine iDA-X001 headunit, wiring harness for my car and install kit. According to measurements this is suppose to fit my car.

Now I find out for the optional bluetooth adapter KCE-300BT it won't fit? I haven't purchased it yet but would like to is there a good place I could mount this on the vehicle?

Am I looking at any special problems with the install of the head unit?

I've had 2 first generation RX7's but that was many years ago

with any aftermarket stereo stuff, you can mount in almost anywhere. What year do you have? The S4 have a little deeper area behind the stereo than the S5's, but not that much. The Bluetooth thing should be able to mounted somewhere. You may need to get/make longer wires. I dont know how big the head unit is, but you have a double din for head unit placement. So if you have a normal sized headunit you should be able to mount the bluetooth under the head unit. Take some measurements of all the stuff you want to put in, and you might need to buy or fabricate mounting brackets. but you should be able to get it all in.
