6 and half" speakers

Hey there.

I don't post here much, usually I can just look around and find poeple with my same questions. But his time I cannot find anyone asking this so finally I get to voice out a question.

From your guys's experience what do you suggest for 6 1/2" speakers?

I do plan on later purchasing subwoofers, but for now I feel it's a better investment to purchase the well needed smaller speakers, rather than just jumping in and buying a few subs. I want nices ound quality, but I also am looking for a small speaker to provide a little bass (by a little I mean the most with still pretty good SQ) Any sugestions?

I have the Diamond Hex 6.5" separates in the doors. I love them.

If you are talking about an FD you are kind of limited with the stock setup. Too hard to get a speaker with a big magenet in the doors. I ended up getting Eclipse 6.5. I wanted the Rally Boston Acoustics but it wouldn't fit. The eclipse sounded better in the store than they do in the car but speaker placement isn't great stock.(which I don't plan on changing). For me to be halfway happy I will have to get a sub. My stock 4-Runner setup sounds better.

Are those Eclipse's components or coaxial? Since reading the forum today, you're the second person to mention that the Eclipse 6.5's fit. Do they sound better than the stock speakers, at least?

Thanks,

I was looking into some Diamond HEX 6.5's. Specs say they have a relatively shallow 2-1/8" mounting depth. Did they just drop in?

Do you have the S600's, M3's or M6's? May i ask what they cost?

Thanks,
