amp for infinity kappa perfects 6.1
what kind of amp would be good/ideal for powering a pair of Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1s? I'm not too familiar with amps, what specifications should I be looking for? (power output ohms and watts)
Also should I bother getting a 4-channel amp to power the back speakers as well? I haven't gotten anything for the back yet, I've been told the front gives out most of the sound and not bother w/ the back that much.

umm. those kappas wont fit in the front btw. the front speakers should just be used for fill. so you only need a good 2channel amp. i got the perfects they are great. turn it up!
generally in most cars the front speakers should rock, but the stock RX7 slot will hit the window. we are talkin bout a 93-95 right?

Yeah, they don't fit in the front without fabrication, they're just way too thick, i'm thinking about trading it for a lower end speaker + cash....does anybody know if the kappa's fit in the front or do the reference 60.5's fit in the front of an FC?

any quality 250 watt 2 channel amp would work fine. I used run a Fosgate 250.2 but now I run a Fosgate Power 360 for my perfects components. My rears are just plane kappas and I run the 250.2 on em.

I just did my stereo install a last week. Infinity kappy 6.5 in the front and in the rear. I had to use the thick plastic spacer for the fronts. The rear speakers will require a little fabrication because the large plastic spacer they give you will only screw onto 2 of the 3 holes. Also the rear infinity kappa speakers I had had a tweeter on the speaker itself and the stock speaker grills will not fit on it very well without a little creativity.
PM me if you want to know what I did.
edit: By the way my car is an s5 so I dont know if all these things apply to you as well.
