6-1/2"

Yes, but be careful about the depth. 2.5" or a little less is the max depth if you want an easy install. The stock speakers are 6.3" according to the manual, but they are essentially normal 6.5" speakers.

The Bose speakers are supposed to be smaller and have different speaker holder plate thingies (that's the technical term ). You may have some more challenges if you are replacing the Bose speakers, but a few people have just made their own plates or bought the non-Bose ones. You might be able to mod the Bose plates, too, though I am not sure. If you are starting with a non-Bose system, it should be an easy install.

Please be more specific if you want help. Perhaps one of these would better describe your problem:
1) I have a Bose system, and 6.5" speakers don't fit in the stock mounts!
or
2) I got really deep 6.5" speakers and they hit the back of the mount or they hit the window when I installed them in my non-Bose plates!
One answer to #2 is that you might have to cut the center "half circle" out of the back of the mount. I had to do that to mount mine, but it was pretty obvious once I got in there and it was very easy to do.

I had to make new panels/holders to fit my 6.5" (Boston Acoustic Pro's) in the doors after I removed the Bose system - they did not fit in the stock holes. Wasnt that hard, took a little time with a jigsaw
