3rd gen Interior question (bose vs. others)
I have a '93 touring w/ bose. I am considering replacing the bose system completely. My question is in regards to the rear 1/4 panels. On my interior I have the the little pockets. On a non-bose car, do these pockets line up exactly where the speaker grills are on non-bose cars?
I am able to find brackets to mount speakers in the rear, but I don't know if I HAVE to use non-bose 1/4 panels, or if I can remove the little pocket and then cover it with whatever speaker grill l can find.
Anyone else done this?

i also have a '93 touring. i was able to buy the grills off a member here and swapped them in no problem.
just so you know, there is an inner part of the pocket which is glued to the back of the panels. i just used a flat head screwdriver and went slow to break it off.

pretty much. if you can find just the speaker cover, it'll fit no problem. you just gotta pull the pocket off the front of the panel (it just pops off) and break the rest off the back of the panel.
you'll also need the speaker bracket/ wiring obviously.
