******** Brake Light Kit **********

My buddy is working on this project to make the FD tail lights look like this.....

Does this give you a hard-on?

If so how many would like this visual viagra on their FD?

I know the owner of that car, he's part of the socal 240 community. He also runs clearcorners.com. Good stuff, he also makes a sleepyeye HID conversion for the s13.

Not cheap stuff though. Definitely not 200 bucks.

do you have pictures of the front of that car? i wanna see the sleepy eye headlights. are they dual round? will that kit work on the rex? i know a lot of FC3S owners would like a dual round low profile headlight kit. please check on it.

the space between the lights is too much.... they look like the sun to me, kinda like an eclipse (not the car), but they really jump out at ya, looks like they're alive in a way.

yeah that doesn't look too bad.... but it might look better if the 'inner circle' of the wheel was also black. it looks odd for the spokes to be black and the area behind/underneath the area where the spoke attaches to the outer part of the rim to be polished......

still pretty nice though.

Actually Batman those are my FD stock tail lights, that I gave to Mike from clear corners.com to mess around with, and they will be going on for more then you posted from what we discussed. Im not sure if you have him your lights to do them or not, but I dont think pics you posted were supposed to be posted yet, since its not a finish product or anything yet.

I'm sorry, I just got back from SEMA and was very tired when I did my post. Plus I was a little too late to edit it as well, but what I mean to say was:

They will also be going for alittle bit more then you posted from I discussed with Mike. Im not sure if you gave him your lights to do them or not, but I dont think the pics you posted were supposed to be posted yet, since its not a finish product or anything yet, and its still in R&D. Mike might not like others stealling his ideas.

So just forget that garbage I wrote above, this was what I really meant. Sorry for the confusion.

ok guys sorry for the confusion, let me clear things up. the photos from clearcorners.com were for illustration purposes only. this kit is not from clearcorners.com. the kit is mine and the picture of the prototype is my picture and my light. at the time i started making this i had seen the clearcorners.com site and thought the rings were a great idea especially for the 99+ FD lights. clearcorners.com did not have any products for the FD so i started development of my own kit. the picture is the very first prototype and the final production pieces will look much nicer. im am using only the highest quality leds from LUMILEDS and yes my expected sale price is around $200. if anyone is interested in this then send me an email and i will keep you up to date.

on that 240, the ring around the brake lights look more like fiber optic lighting, not led. just a little suggestion, i think fiber optic would look nicer for the fd as well, because it does not have the dots with spaces in between them like led lighting does.

It just occured to me that that was funny cause I gave mike my right side tail lights, and those are the right side tail lamps as well, so I'm still a bit suspicious, since its the same side and your post count is low as well. But if it is yours truely, then I apologive, but I would like to see some sort of proof if you dont mind, like the ring on the right side lamp or with both would be the best. Im not convicned yet thats all, but if you could provide that I willl shut up.

Thanks.

Marvin

i cant show you both because i only have one side made. when i get this side how i want it ill just mirror it for the other side. the dot appearance should be reduced a lot on the later models, also keep in mind that shot is from 2 feet away. the lens will also be painted in the 99 style. here is another shot with the lights turned down as far as i could make them go. the room lights were on full in the both pics and the leds were at half brightness in the other pic, these things are BRIGHT.

P.S. im also doing the center brake light

Ok, if thats the case then I apologize. The ones Me and Mike are working on are simmilar, however, abit more extreme then what you are working with. From my point of view I saw the pic from clear corners.com and the left side of the FD tail light which I gave to mike to do some R&D with, and had to say somthing, since it was suppose to be unrelased and unfinished product. If you are just simulating what he is doing and have nothing to do with clearcorner.com, then thats fine with me, not sure about mike, however, but I'll let him know about it anyways. Once again, if thats your project and had nothing to do with me or Mike then I apologize.
