How do I delete this?

I see the button that says edit/delete but it appears I only have the optio to make changes but not to delete the post entirely... can I not delete posts in the new members section or until I have 10 posts?

You can't delete posts at all. This forum likes to have record of all that has been said, especially in cases of dispute. Although, this is kind of silly now that editing seems to have been loosened up. At one time, you could not edit any more than a few minutes after your post.

Gotcha. Makes sense for the classified sections, but it would be nice to be able to delete threads in some of the other sections, like if you accidentally make a duplicate thread (which I accidentally did in the tech section last night) or if you no longer need the post. (My original question was answered less than 5 mins after starting this thread, so there was no point in keeping it up)

Ya but If you got the answer to the question Why should it be deleted when OTHERS may be curious as to what the answer to the Problem is??
It's all comes down to INFO.If it is useful it STAYS..
If we deleted after someone solves their problem the Question would be Repeated over and over again.and not found with a simple Search.

Fair enough. Would never have learned as much as I have over the years browsing this forum if posts got deleted
