Minimum Level Of Knowledge?
Hey all
I'm new to car repair in general. I have a couple of questions I may ask in the new member technical section. Looking at other posts, however, I think even that section may require a base knowledge of car repair.
I'm not expecting anyone to take me step by step on repairing my engine, but general questions that I can use the answers to look up further.
I work in the IT field and have realized that with the ability to search with the right terms, you can learn a lot. I just need some keywords here and there to help.
Would these type of low-tech level questions be acceptable in the new member technical section?
Thanks

It is a Specific section for NEW Members who are not yet "seasoned" with these types of cars.
It is also a "brief training ground" to get your wings so you can fly off to OTHER sections that exist within the Forum so you can get the info you need.
Mind you that the Forum has existed for quite a while and a stockpile of info is Already Posted or archived,so for that We simply ask that you use your fingers and your noodle and search first before posting a question that may have been frequently..(BUT,for the love of God!, don't Finger your noodle!)

Name the VIDEO..Like "Girls Gone Wild"..some **** like that..lol!
Even if you don't get an answer your thread will get 100's of views/hits..heh.!
Lyger is spot on though.
It's hard to describe a noise or a trait that the car is encountering and a Video will show more of an in depth description of what is happening.
(and if you can toss a hot chick in there, that would be a bonus!..)

Kidding aside, a picture is worth a thousand words and a video with decently clear audio is worth a thousand pictures. Don't worry about being a newb, we were all there at one point. To this day, I STILL surprise people with moments of being a newb, despite having a 20B FC. Last time I was up at Defined Autoworks, my car was behaving rather funny, being quite difficult to start, very slow to rev and sounded like total crap. Logan said that it was running on one rotor. Now I can diagnose it just by listening
Moral of the story: To go far in rotary, all you need is a desire to learn.
