I keep getting logged out, what is causing it ?!
ok so i have been lurking the site for a while and i have finally joined but i am having a major problem with the website and it is extremely frustrating. Everytime i log in once i go to the next page i am logged back out. i am allowing cookies, i have remember me selected, my browser has my password saved. i just dont know what is going on.
example- to make this thread, i logged in at rx7club.com main page, clicked new members section, had to log back in, clicked new thread, had to log back in, and i am almost certain i may have to do so again once i hit "submit"..
It is extremely discouraging and frustrating/annoying. can anyone help me?!

It doesnt matter what browser, network, computer, windows, or mac. I always have the problem. It is very frustrating and it pretty much keeps my from posting or joining any discussion because i have to log in like 3 times just to post once.

Does it to me on practically every machine I use except for the one at my parents house. odd. If/when an admin sees this can they try disabling my account then re-enabling it? I have read that that has worked on other forums

I don't think a ban would help me in this situation lol, if it would make you feel better go for it ha! Anyways I made a new account to see if its the account itself or the computer. So far this account has not logged me out after each page visit or given me any issues.
Mar3, would you be able to notify an admin to disable and then re-enable my original account to see if this solves the issue?

And forget editing, I can't do that no matter how many times it tells me to refresh and login. I keep getting a little window that pops up and says this:
1. You do not have permission to perform this action. Please refresh the page and login before trying again.

An interesting glitch...your profile and access box all look just like anyone else's. To get Admin help, you're going to have to just PM the only two we got

I've read this thread several times and mar3 didn't answer the initial post of g3tOut. I have the same problem. It is likely a Web site error with how one of their cookies is written to keep you logged in even if you reload prior pages or go out of the site, ie a Google search. I use Firefox.

sdelong2's problem is the same as the OP, who stopped following this thread on Feb 23rd. A cookie not being read is more likely the User's PC having an issue on how it handles or keeps cookies in this case since 99% of the members, new and old, don't have this problem across a huge variety of browsers and PC hardware, not to mention the mobile apps.
Nonetheless, the OP needs to follow the same advice given to the active sdelong2

WOW. Ok it's gotta just be that computer; my main computer for internet browsing. This computer hasn't been on this site in a long while (an when I say a long while, I know this because as I started typing the web site in the browser...I didn't get any choices of web sites that were similar). I was automatically signed in, was able to do a quick reply in another forum thread, and am having no issues.
And yes, this last line is an edit for prosperity's sake.

I've browsed the site for a while and made an account a bit ago. I use Linux with a Firefox browser. This is my first post/reply, but so far, no problems. Love the site, tho.

It's done that to me a bunch too. I got so frustrated with it that I was talking to my computer and my husband said that wouldn't help. LOL. But I did close my browser, which is Google Chrome, and reopen and so far no problems.
