How do I put a photo under my screen name?

Hello I want to ask, How I put my photos unde my user name?

1) In the gray taskbar, you'll see User CP, click on it.

2) There is a box labeled Settings & Options and under it is a link Edit Avatar, click on that

3) Select one of the preloaded avatars and then click the Save Changes bar near the bottom.
You need to get around a 100 posts under your belt before you can download a custom avatar pic of your creation.

Steven, I think mar3 said you have to have like 100 posts before you can post a custom avatar pic.

but he still should be able to select one of the pre-loaded avatars listed.

There are also size restrictions on Avatars; 100 by 100 pixels or 6.0 KB (whichever is smaller).

I was trying to change my avatar pic and i alwasy get this "This is not a valid image file."
I don't get it?

needs to be .jpg, .jpeg, .gif. probable can't be a .bmp.
