Help with self updating sig pic for folding stats

Why can't I put this url...

http://folding.extremeoverclocking.c...x7bart&t=39215

for my sig pic?

Thanks. I am at a loss on this one...

It works in my posts for IMG, but I can't sig it using the upload url feature (directly above the file upload feature when editing my sig).

Good question...I've tried all my variations I could think of and can't get it to image...I'm wondering if an Admin needs to "click" something on your profile. The image is GIF and well within the limits.

You need an Admin to look at it, not a Mod.

lol...ain't dat a biotch....works fine in my sig...it's your settings...only an Admin's gonna be able to change that....

ok, I put it back in your sig exactly like I put it in mine...when he hits the switch, you should get it and then I'll clear it from my sig....how ridiculous I must look to my adversaries in the DoO and Politics right now.

The problem is the link is pointing to a .php file, not an actual .gif

For obvious security reasons we can't allow users sigs to point to open php or html files. Unfortunately this is not a single user issue, but rather one that effects all users of the main usergroup. Not because of images like this, but because other nefarious exploits could be made.

The fact it works in mar3's profile is probably happenstance since he is a Smod.

SAve the .gif and use it as the sigpic and you'll be set.

The whole point of it was that this is a self updating link as the stats change very often.
Meaning when you come back to read this tomorow or in a year from now, that same picture actually have new numbers in it.

Oh well, so much for that I guess.

It's a great idea.. but it's active content therein lies the problem. Sorry charlie.

Maybe we can open something up when we move to VBB 4.x
