zero throttle map?

we're tuning a 56 chevy, v8 aut-o-matic, with an f10.

the problem is that it seems to want to be rich at idle, and the idle bar, and the cruising bar are sometimes the same around town. 750-850 rpm idle, cruises @1100ish rpms.

is this a good case for the zero throttle map? if i did the zero throttle map should i turn it on now when the car is 50% tuned, or should i wait until its more like 70% tuned?

since its only active at idle turn it on now, it can't make tuning any harder.

I'd turn it on right from the start as well. No sense in beating yourself up trying to work back and forth between the two.

idles about 1000, and 35-40mph is like 1100-1200 in 3rd, it upshifts fast

actually we kinda fixed it, he used one of those e&j throttle bodies, and its really adjustable, and inconsistent
