Haltech Wiring ignition/injector power
Wiring ignition/injector power
Just doing some research before I decide if I want LMS to to do my harness or if I want to try it myself.
I will be using LS1 coils (maybe IGN-1A if my budget allows). I under stand there is 12v, signal, ground, ground. I want to make the harness so nothing is sliced so if I have to remove it, I don't have to cut anything. I am thinking that I run a 12v wire straight from the ignition relay to the coils and split them to each individual coil. I am thinking that is the way to do injectors as well? And the run all the grounds to one lug and have it bolted under the bracket to a clean spot on the engine?
Am I on the right track or is there other tricks to make a tidy harness?
Thanks

Your Haltech loom will have circuits for injector and coil power. You will use those to power the 12V+ side.
Skip the LS1 coils, they're weak sauce. Stick with stock FC over those.

I wasn't sure if my harness was going to have a fuse/relay block, but I now know a long harness is being shipped which simplifies thing.
I meant LS style truck coils, I can't use the stock coils since I'm installing the under the intake.

You'll like the long flying lead. The new fuse/relay box is pretty sweet.
Keep the charge time of the truck coils down to around 4.5ms. This should prevent any auto discharge issues with them that guys are running into.
