whats a good injector duty (Ms?) for start up
right now im working on getting this bitch to start better. i had WAY to much fuel before and had to hold the pedal to the floor so the duty cycle read 0.000%
now i can get it to start once in a while in about 2-3 cranks...sometime's less!!
im curious as to what the rotary tends to like on the 0RPM and 500RPM range so i can gett the duty cycle dialed in and not have to either pump the hell outta the pedal or hold it to the floor. i either have to much or to little fuel!!
1 more question. what about timing in 0RPM and 500RPM for starting? where do they like to be for a easier startup? i almost dont want to mess with it but if someone has different #'s than i, id like to try em!
thanks
keep in mind the motor is at operating temps while doing this.

If you're looking at strictly cranking / starting, it has nothing to do with the 0RPM and even the 500RPM fuel maps.
There's a setting somewhere which tells the Haltech that if you're under X RPM's, it should be looking at the Primer map first.
So, if the Haltech thinks you're cranking the engine, it'll fire off the Primer map first.
The Primer map should be the ONLY (fuel) map you should be adjusting to get the engine to fire intially.
You should not be adjusting the 0RPM or 500RPM fuel maps to get the engine started.

OIC, i think you told me that once already!!! hahaha, but anyways, i was just curious what a good MS for the injectors would be. a mild streetport motor is what i have. i managed to get it firing consistenly on 2-3 cranks though so i think i got it figured out. ill take out fuel at 0RPM and 500 RPM and see what happens....thanks again sir!!

also, i know that being such a low mileage motor i should have the idle around 1K or a little more....i was around 1500RPM's for a little while and i turned the idle down to 1K, RE-calabrated my TPS and its a LITTLE harder to start now. i had it PERFECT for 1500!!! GAH!
