Arrow What Stock Wiring Can I Toss Out?

Hey everyone,

I just purhcased a PS1k and am ready to install it on my S5 TII. My question is simple: other than the factory wiring I am directly replacing with the PS1k (such as Fuel Injector wires), what else can I toss out that no longer will work without the stock ECU? For example, could I remove the wires that lead to the stock green diagnostic connectors near the battery?

Also, what systems on my car will no longer work without the stock ECU? Will my cruise control work? Window wipers? etc...

I have another unrelated question; I was planning on using my stock TPS with the Haltech, but it appears to be shot. Here are the values I pulled up with my multimeter as compared with what the FSM says they should be (for an S5 TII):

A to B

Factory Idle: 0.8k to 1.2k
MY READING: 1.837k
Factory WOT: 4k to 6k
MY READING: 4.13k

E to D

Factory Idle: 0.6k to 0.9k
MY READING: 153.0k
Factory WOT: 3.4k to 5.1k
MY READING: 5.23k

Before I buy a new one, I just wanted to double check with someone that it is actually broken or if it just needs adjusting. Also, is there any difference between an S5 Turbo TPS and an S5 N/A TPS? Or is the only difference between S4 and S5 TPS's?

An answer to any of these questions would be great. Thanks for your help!

the s5 tps should work fine, the s4 tps is not full-range so it will not work

Try to adjust the TPS and make sure it holds the values afterwards.

you can keep everything aside from the stock boost gauge as far as I know.

there's a thread just below this that I made which outlines keeping your wipers and cruise control (for an S4)
