What are the differances between these 2 Steps ?

What are the differances between these 2 Steps?

Soft cut
Soft to hard
Hard cut
Hard to soft

I run only one 6AL on my leading. I'm going to hook my 2 Step up so that it turns the trailing off while it's engaged. Which type of two step does that make it?

Which is best for launching with big boost?

A soft limiter begins to cut ignition as you approach the programmed limit. The sensation is that the engine quits pulling and there isn't the "BANG, BANG" of hitting a limiter. Hard limit is the "BANG, BANG". You're free to rev until it hits the limit and that's it. A soft limit will, for lack of a better term, soften up as it approachs the limit. I've heard of soft to hard but not sure how you could go hard to soft.

As far as launch control I've only ever used hard cut. All that was available to me. Makes cool noises and lots of flame. Holds the revs where you want.
