Weird rpm reading

Ok I just installed a e6k i got from a friend. Its worked flawlessly on his car and now on my car the rpm signal in haltech is very erratic. To start, I installed it and got it running and it seemed fine. I buttoned up the install and started trying to get an idle and rpms were fine. Now even when i crank i see like 11k or more. What is the deal? The cas wires were bare on the pickup side so i changed them out with a set of pickups i was using on my megasquirt and they were good. And no change. The harness side i just saw was nasty too so i fixed it to. Nothing.I turned the gain to 3 in the ignition setup and still same reading. So .... Anyone know what the airgap needs to be on the cas pickups? It is close close now with out touching. and the wires are not sitting on the altwires or anything either. I also disconnectedthe trailing coils to see if any change and nothing. Anyone have anyideas?

ha just kidding! Its still happening and will go away if i restart the dosbox program. Is there a fix for it? Or just use the plain dos program?
