Sprint RE weird tach and possible ignition problem

Hey guys, I had my fc on the dyno last night for a tune. The tach is accurate at idle but as soon as i rev the car a bit the tach is way higher then the engine is actually running. Engine is 2000rpm and tach says 2800 rpm, engine is 3000 rpm and tach says 4200 rpm. The tach is also jumpy and twitchy. It was working normally before i wired the haltech up. I have it wired up just as shown here for the tach

http://www.tuningtechnology.net/Down...7_FC_Stock.pdf

yellow wire on the trailing coils is hooked up to the stock tach.

I have ignition2 to pink and ignition3 to white (reverse to what this diagram shows)because thats what it had in the manual that came with it.

At low rpm the car sounds like it is miss firing but it sound normal and smooth as they raise.

The cas has been set to whatever it is supposed to be at and all the settings in the haltech are the ones for this set up and the timing map the tuner put in should be fine. This haltech came off a friends fc before mine and his car was running fine.

Help please and thank you!

CORRECTION!!!

I DID wire it to the diagram, NOT what it said in the haltech manual.
so i wired it
Ignition3 to pink
Ignition2 to white

Is that my problem, is that diagram wrong? Should i have used the haltech manual?

The Haltech quickstart guide is correct. Page 14 shows how to wire it.

Log trigger since last home and make it duplicate the issue. The trigger since last home value should be 12 at all times and never change after startup. If it changes at all, you have a trigger issue. My guess is, this is the problem.

Thanks. I rewired the trailing coils today and the tach was working normal. The last part of what you said doesnt mean much to me but i passed that on to my tuner so he will work on it again.
Thanks again.
