So what to do now?

Well, I was in the process of purchasing an E6K harness, ecu, and laptop for 700 but then I get the news that it's been stolen. So, now I'm pretty much SOL on this. He's contacted the police in the matter, but I have doubts that it'll be recovered. So, does anyone have a E6K for sale or any advise? I can only find X's on ebay, and that's just not what I want.

I would just go with an X, new system, with warrantee, support, windows software and more features than the K. I sell them for 1150 with all sensors (internal map 2.5/22psi sensor) shipped in the US.

When is a moderator going to step in and do something about the blatant advertising that takes place on this forum?

Claudio, I'd rather not deal with the insanely sensitive trigger wire, nor have to toggle from windows to DOS to change settings.

Does anyone have any input on the E8?

What did you mean with the "toggle from windows to dos to change settings"? there is no need for DOS with the new X systems. The E8 is a stripped down version of the E11, full sequential for 4 cylinders and 2 rotors, its not plaggued by the noisy trigger issues, but i have installed a few X on a few cars, and a few are 2nd Gen RX-7s with great success and no noise issues.

C. Ludwig,

Sorry for frasing the advertisement that way, i should've said: "PM me if you are interested in purchasing."

Wont happen again.

The only ecu I would use on a rx-7 from Haltech presently would be an E-8 or E-11.

And the plot thickens....

Can you shoot me a PM on why you feel this strongly? I don't have alot of spare cash, so buying the wrong EMS or having regrets would crush me. I'd have to be looking for a used unit though, I can't really afford to spend 1300 on a brand spanking new unit.

The reason I ask for the PM is because I've seen videos of your work, and your input would be absolutely appreciated in helping me decide which Haltech to choose.

What I meant from toggling back and forth is I've talked to some Haltech owners and some settings will not stay loaded into the ECU unless you close Halwin and go to DOS and load them and vice versa.

My tuner here knows Haltech well. That, and microtech is pretty expensive.

Ive seen this happen before, and apparently it takes a few times of reseting the ECU for the changes to apply.

Anyone have an E8 they're looking to sell that's cheaper than 1400? I've got the money now, no waiting till payday or any of that. Good price = Sale.
