Quick question when replacing stock ecu for e6k

Hey everyone I am installing my e6k right now and when I went to remove my stock wiring harness there are 2 plugs that go into the right of the ecu and that lead out into the main engine harness. But theres one plug on the left of the ecu that is tied into the harness that goes into the dash. Do I need to keep my stock ECU in the car for this part of the harness or what do I do with it? Thanks

this harness has the leads for the ignition coils. these wires ( 3 of them ) and just connect em to the appropriate wires in your haltech.

i have an s5, and did this exact same thing. hell, the plug is still left in place. lol

Well im having issues with my haltech harness, it was 'plug n play' which it is anything but. There are 3 red wires that are unlabeled, could these be the wires for the coils?

probably not. if they are solid red, the most likely that is some kind of power source. now determining which kind of power source is left up to you.

Man this harness is a mess. I was under the impression it would fit a S5 TII and just found out its for a third gen with a 13brew. Is it worth trying to save or should I just get a new harness?

engine is fairly irrelivent as far as the main sensors go.

make sure water temp, iat, tps, and the CAS is correctly wired.

id probably get a new harness.

Ok, well whats my best bet? Keep this harness for a 13brew and replace the sensor plugs? Replace the sensors on my block with those of a 13brew? Or just get haltech sensors/plugs?

get a new wireing harness with new connectors and new sensors. you will have to cannibalize an old wireing harness for the cas though.
