hello forum.

i just finished installing my new ps2k.

i purchased it from c.ludwig and had him build a harness too. after loading this map from claudio (http://api.viglink.com/api/click?for...13133537395921) i thought i could at least get it to chug.

everything lights up. crank show rpm moving. injector duty cycle is active and pump primes just fine.

i am not getting spark and my ignitor is getting extremely hot

my spark setup.

haltech<vg30 ignitor< negative side of msd blaster ss coils< sparkplug.
i do have the pos. hooked to other wires but to be honest im not sure what they do as i dont know this stuff very well and c.ludwig built the harness. i assume they are just constant +.

could i have it wrong and need to move the ignitor side of the harness to the + side of the coils?
or is there something else at play here?

i went out just to check which side of the coil had a 12+ charge. both sides do with the key on.

doesnt seem right

 

after more thinking and fiddling, i decided to try and flip the ignitor around.. instantly the spark decided to show up..

it now runs.

So did I pin the ignitor incorrectly, or was the schematic interpreted incorrectly? Glad you got it going!

 

i think the schematic was just plain wrong.

you pinned it as the schematic showed but after looking for it in about 40 other places, i had found 3 schematics that said it was incorrect. figured what the hell, ill try it. it worked.

 

You have a base map? Replaced the Microtech with a PS2K and need one to get rolling....
