Ps2000 direct fire

I’ve searched but haven’t found the answer I’m looking for. I bought the SBG coil pack kit and installed it per the instructions. The only part that was confusing to me is where I’m suppose to get the signal from for L2. The instructions say I can get it from the power steering wire but that didn’t work for me. I had seen somewhere saying from the omp. I ended burning up the coil that way. I found the Haltech wire diagram and ended up getting the signal from the Y/R wire which corresponds to ignition 2 DPO6. I tested voltage and it looked good. At least I thought it was until the replacement coil burned up as well and I blew the fuse. What am I doing wrong? Any kind of insight would be greatly appreciated.

The Haltech patch loom dedicated ignition 2 for the BAC valve. So you’ll need to make changes in the software and in the patch loom before you can run direct fire.

That section is grayed out, it doesn’t allow me to change it. I just took it to my tuner because I’m just wasting money burning up coils.
